KUALA LUMPUR (May 3): Candy manufacturer Khee San Bhd announced today that its annual report for financial year ended Dec 31, 2018 will be released to shareholders and Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd (Bursa Securities) on Wednesday (May 8) because external auditors are in the midst of finalising the company's annual audited financial statements.

"The board of directors of Khee San wishes to inform that the external auditors are in the midst of finalising the annual audited financial statements for the financial period ended 31 December 2018 which will be tabled at the board of directors’ meeting to be held on 6 May 2019. The annual report 2018 will be released to Bursa Securities and the shareholders on 8 May 2019,"  Khee San said.
 
Khee San said this today after it failed to submit the annual report to Bursa Securities by Tuesday (April 30) as required by the regulator.

According to a statement yesterday on Khee San on Bursa Securities' website, in the event that Khee San is unable to submit the outstanding annual report on or before Wednesday, trading in the company's shares will be suspended with effect from 9am on Thursday, (May 9) until further notice.
