KUALA LUMPUR: The government should not be stringent on China residents buying property under the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme, as this group of buyers can help to resolve the property overhang prevalent in the country.

“They are people with money to spend. If the government would like to clear the overhang, it must not only look at local buyers but encourage foreigners to buy.

“One way to do this is to stop the restrictions in MM2H.
