DNeX gets RM57m contract extension for ICT maintenance project

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 2): Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) has bagged a contract extension worth RM57 million from the Accountant General’s Department for an information and communication technology (ICT) maintenance project.

The extension which is for one year, starts Aug 10, the group said in a statement today.

Under the contract, DNeX’s unit Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd (iAC) will be responsible for maintenance of hardware, software and network equipment of the integrated Government Financial and Management System (iGFMAS), an accrual accounting shared services implementation.

iAC is a leading consulting firm that has completed more than 100 projects in the public and private sectors.

We remain committed to offer top notch services that not only meet requirements of customers but also enable them to further improve and grow their operations,” DNeX executive deputy chairman Datuk Samsul Husin said in the statement.

Shamsul added that the company is also embedding such technologies as artificial intelligence, blockchain and big data analytics into its services, to strengthen its position in the industry as a leading consulting firm.

DNeX ended 0.5 sen or 1.82% lower at 27 sen today, for a market capitalisation of RM474.67 million. Some 2.55 million shares were traded.
