Prestariang up after Guan Eng says firm is sole Microsoft service provider to govt
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): Prestariang Bhd's share price rose as much as two sen or 4.17% to 50 sen so far today after Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the ICT software distributor will be the sole Microsoft services provider to the Malaysian government.
Bloomberg, quoting Lim, reported earlier today that the government signed a deal under which Prestariang becomes the sole provider of Microsoft services to all government departments and agencies.
At Bursa Malaysia, Prestariang shares settled at 49 sen at 12:30pm with some 14 million units traded. The counter was among Bursa's top-active stocks.
