Metronic falls 10% after largest shareholder files suit

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 3): Shares in Metronic Global Bhd fell 10% this morning after the company had been sued by its single largest shareholder Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew.

At 10.23am, Metronic's share price fell 0.5 sen to 4.5 sen, valuing it at RM56.06 million.

The suit was served via a counterclaim by Lee, who is seeking a declaration that the affairs of the group are done in a manner oppressive to him.

Lee is also seeking a similar declaration pertaining to the powers of directors that are being exercised. He is also petitioning for the allotment and the issuance of executives' share option scheme in June 2019, and a private placement in October to be declared void.
