Dolphin International appoints Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah as chairman

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 9): Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah, who joined the board of directors of Dolphin International Bhd yesterday, was today named its chairman.

He takes over from Dr Kamaruddin Osman, 75, who has been redesignated as independent and non-executive director.

Tengku Ahmad, 50, is also presently group chief operating officer at Pelaburan Mara Bhd (PMB), and holds directorships in NetX Holdings Bhd, Fintec Global Bhd, PDZ Holdings Bhd, PMB Investment Bhd and PMB Tijari Bhd.

He was the former chief executive officer of PMB Tijari.

He started his career as resident manager in HSBC in Hong Kong in 1993. Later, he pursued his career with Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Bhd in 2008 as senior manager of commercial banking, and subsequently head of branch management within the retail and commercial banking division.

Shares of Dolphin closed one sen or 3.57% higher at 15 sen today, valuing the group at RM35.41 million.
