Quick take: Pelikan jumps 21% in active trade

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Pelikan International Corp Bhd were hotly traded this morning with over 10 million shares exchanging hands, making it one of the most actively traded counter on Bursa Malaysia.

The stationery company surged 21.62%, or eight sen to 45 sen, its highest since November 2018 with 10.06 million shares done. It is currently trading at a PE ratio of 29.76 times.

The company has not made any major corporate announcements.

Its president and chief executive officer Loo Hooi Keat has been acquiring shares in the company since early December 2019. As at Dec 27, he has a direct stake of 10.003% and an indirect stake of 6.238%.
