Come Thursday, Tiger Synergy Bhd
will hold an EGM to remove all seven directors of the firm.
The fight for control is between executive chairman Datuk Tan Wei Lian’s faction and major shareholder Safari Alliance Sdn Bhd.
Shareholders with a collective 11.83% stake in the firm, which according to its website has its core business in property development and construction, have been asked to attend the meeting by Safari, presumably to vote in Safari’s favour.
Safari claims that “the timing is critical as the current board of Tiger Synergy has recently proposed another round of rights issue that will further dilute existing shareholdings and push down the company’s share price”.
