KKB bags RM53m water supply contract in Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR (May 4): KKB Engineering Bhd has bagged an approximately RM53 million contract from the Kuching Water Board (KWB).

In a bourse filing, the group said the contract is for the proposed construction, completion and commission of water supply from Jalan Kawa/Matang to the Matang Mid-Level Reservoir for stressed areas under the Sarawak Water Supply Grid Programme.

The contract will last for 16 months starting this month, pending the final approval of the Sarawak state government.

KKB expects the new job to contribute positively to its earnings throughout the tenure.

KKB shares closed unchanged at RM1.62 today, valuing it at some RM417.62 million. The counter saw 271,200 shares traded.
