Quick take: K-One jumps 29% on license to distribute ventilators

KUALA LUMPUR: K-One Technology Bhd’s shares continued its winning streak in early trade Tuesday, jumping over 29% in early trade Tuesday after it secured a non-exclusive license to distribute ventilators.

The counter, one of the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia, surged 29.21%, or 13 sen to 57.5 sen with 43 million shares traded.

K-One has been granted a non-exclusive license agreement to manufacture and distribute Ventilator Intervention Technology Accessible Locally (Vital) ventilators worldwide, following a competitive assessment via California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

The ventilators are designed by Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Nasa-JPL) and targeted for Covid-19, and is not related to the conventional ventilator previously announced by K-One Tech.
