KUALA LUMPUR: SUMATEC RESOURCES BHD has until July 7 to submit its first quarterly report for the financial period ended March 31 to Bursa Malaysia, failing which trading in its shares will be suspended from July 8.
However, as the company's securities have been suspended from trading since Nov 7, 2019 in view of the winding up order against the company, the suspension of trading will continue until further notice.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the PN17 company said it failed to submit its first quarterly report to Bursa Malaysia for public release within the stipulated timeframe pursuant to Paragraph 9.22(1) of Bursa Securities' Main Market Listing Requirements (Main LR).
According to Bursa, if a listed issuer fails to issue the outstanding financial statements within five market days after the expiry of the relevant timeframes, in addition to any enforcement action that the regulator may take, Bursa will suspend the trading in the securities of such listed issuer.
