BETWEEN June 15 and 19, Datuk Awang Daud Awang Putera actively dealt in the shares of three entities — Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd, Sealink International Bhd and Minetech Resources Bhd.

On June 18, he ceased to be a substantial shareholder of Serba Dinamik after disposing of 45 million shares, or 1.33% equity interest, in the oil and gas construction outfit via a direct business transaction.

The Sarawakian previously owned 9.6% of Serba Dinamik, but started trimming his stake on May 21 to reach 4.29% as at June 22.

Meanwhile, the group’s largest shareholder Datuk Abdul Karim Abdullah has been increasing his stake. Between June 16 and 19, he acquired 80 million shares, or a 2.36% stake, to raise his shareholding to 24.2%.

At Sealink, between June 11 and 19, Awang Daud disposed of 27.29 million shares, or a 5.5% stake, reducing his holding to 19.9%. He has been trimming his stake in the offshore marine support vessels operator since February after emerging as a substantial shareholder last October, when he bought 30% of the company from Sealink Holdings Sdn Bhd via a cross deal. After the disposals, Awang Daud remains the second largest shareholder after Yong Kiam Sam, who holds 44.44%.

At Minetech, between June 16 and 19, Awang Daud acquired a total of 19.99 million shares, or 1.89% equity interest, increasing his holding to 24.65%.

Since emerging as a substantial shareholder in the quarry mining cum construction outfit on Feb 11, Awang Daud has been buying more of its shares. He is now the second largest shareholder of the loss-making group after Choy Sen @ Chin Kim Sang, who holds 25%.

On June 17, CIMB Commerce Trustee Bhd emerged as a substantial shareholder of Prestariang Bhd after acquiring 24.12 million shares, or a 5% stake, of the integrated information technology platform service provider.

CIMB Commerce Trustee is holding the shares as a trustee for Affin Hwang Multi-Asset Fund 3.

The 5% stake makes CIMB Commerce Trustee the fourth largest shareholder of Prestariang, after Maybank Trustees Bhd for Areca Dynamic Growth Fund with 16%, CIMB Islamic Trustees Bhd for Affin Hwang Multi-Asset Fund (8.29%) and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (5.27%).
