KUALA LUMPUR: What a week it has been for Bursa Malaysia as frenzied buying and heavy churning saw the trading volume break fresh records several times.
At 5pm on Friday, trading volume surged to a dizzying 26.65 billion shares, which was unheard of and almost double from the volume of 13.12 billion units on Monday. Trading value on Friday was RM9.04bil.
The FBM KLCI closed lower on late selling pressure, falling 10.43 points or 0.66% to 1,578.14. This was in contrast with Thursday’s late buying.
