KUALA LUMPUR: Innature Bhd, a regional retailer of cosmetics and personal care products carrying The Body Shop and Natura brands, said a surge in online sales in the second quarter helped cushioned the worst impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Net profit in the three-month ended June 30 fell 38% to RM3.1mil from RM5mil made in the same quarter last year.
Revenue dropped 28% to RM31.4mil.
"Our early investments in omnichannel rewarded us the much-needed uplift during this challenging time, where we saw e-commerce channels recording exponential growth of 431% to RM6.9 million in 2Q2020, and 241% to RM8.8 million in 6M2020," Group Managing Director Datin Mina Cheah-Foong said in a statement today.
