KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia joined key Asian markets to close lower on Wednesday as worries about weak US data weighed on investors’ confidence.
At 5pm, the KLCI was down 5.38 points or 0.35% to 1,549.58. Turnover was 12.12 billion shares valued at RM6.18bil. The broader market was firmer with 706 gainers, 424 losers and 379 counters unchanged.
At Bursa, Nestle fell the most, down RM1.50 to RM139.20.
Petronas Dagangan fell 50 sen to RM20.72 and Public Bank 36 sen to RM16.60.
