PETALING JAYA: Gamuda Bhd could see improved earnings in the first half of next year after incurring a net loss in the fourth quarter underpinned by the likely resumption of major infrastructure projects to pump prime the economy.
An analyst contacted by StarBiz said based on the government’s move to revive major infrastructure projects, a big player like Gamuda would be in a better position to clinch some jobs, including the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) three based on its strong record.
The company is also bidding for tunnelling works in Australia and has a good chance of securing at least one project, according to the analyst.
