Green Packet, Chinese firm to develop E&E hub

IBI Urban Tech Sdn Bhd, which is owned by Green Packet Bhd chief executive officer Puan Chan Cheong, (pic) has signed a memorandum of understanding with China-based Orient Excellent (Zuhai) Asset Management Co Ltd to jointly develop the hub.

PETALING JAYA: A 6,482-acre Asia Semiconductor Hub will be developed in Kulim, Kedah, beginning in the second quarter of next year.

IBI Urban Tech Sdn Bhd, which is owned by Green Packet Bhd chief executive officer Puan Chan Cheong, has signed a memorandum of understanding with China-based Orient Excellent (Zuhai) Asset Management Co Ltd to jointly develop the hub.

In a statement, Green Packet said the strategic partnership was intended to combine the resources, expertise and network of both parties as critical building blocks for the success of the development.
