KUALA LUMPUR: The board of director of HSS Engineers Bhd has suspended group chief executive officer (GCEO) Datuk Ir. Nitchiananthan Balasubramaniam for four weeks with immediate effect.
"The suspension is to facilitate independent investigation to be carried out for alleged misconducts on the part of the GCEO," the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
The company said an independent investigation will be undertaken with immediate effect on the alleged misconducts made against Nitchiananthan over his conduct in managing the affairs of the company but, not pertaining to any breaches of fiduciary duty.
"HSS will continue its business as usual," it said.
In the interim, Tan Sri Ir. Kunasingam V.Sittampalam, the group’s executive vice chairman, will take over the responsibilities to perform the functions of the GCEO.
