PETALING JAYA: Tomei Consolidated Bhd
saw its net profit rising 6.5 times to RM13.6mil for the third quarter ended Sept 30 from RM2.1mil in the corresponding period last year.
The jeweller attributed its earnings growth to a higher sales volume and selling prices as well as better profit margins.
In the quarter, Tomei’s revenue rose 52% to RM180.6mil from RM118.7mil in the previous corresponding period. Its earnings per share rose to 9.82 sen from 1.5 sen.
For the nine-month period, group net profit jumped three-fold to RM19.5mil from RM6.1mil, while revenue was 3.3% lower at RM384.6mil.
