KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia was in the red early Wednesday as investors decided to take some money off the table with RHB Bank, Tenaga Nasional and Maybank among the decliners.
At 9.18am, the FBM KLCI was down 7.4 points or 0.46% to 1,602.75. Turnover was 1.75 billion shares valued at RM549.82mil. There were 254 gainers, 384 losers and 401 counters unchanged.
Rakuten Trade, in its market outlook, said the overnight decline on Wall Street as investors decided to lock in some profits, could see some retracement of regional markets today.
“On the local front, we reckon rubber glove counters to experience continue selling pressures therefore the benchmark index may face with some headwinds today.
