PETALING JAYA: AWC Bhd’s unit has been awarded a contract worth RM4mil for the supply of rail grinding services at phase one mainline for the Mass Rapid Transit Line 2: Sungai Buloh – Serdang – Putrajaya project.

The company said its subsidiary Trackwork and Supplies Sdn Bhd accepted a letter of award from MMC Gamuda for the job.

AWC said the contract, which commenced on Dec 17,2020, was expected to be completed by April 30,2021.

It said the contract was for the initial rail grinding for phase two – ET Testing Section (Serdang Raya North Station V205 to Taman Putra Permai Station V208) and final rail grinding for phase one – V201-V203 A, spur line and migration area.

The contract sum for the extension of works was RM2.44mil for initial rail grinding for phase two and RM1.52mil for final rail grinding for phase one.
