Ex-KWAP CEO Wan Kamaruzaman emerges as director on MRCB board

KUALA LUMPUR (April 15): Former Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP) CEO Datuk Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad has emerged as an independent non-executive director on the board of Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB).

His appointment follows the departure of Datuk Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif from the board of MRCB.

Wan Kamaruzaman, 62, is also currently holding directorships at Al-Aqar Healthcare REIT and Al-Salam REIT, according to a bourse filing.

He was appointed as CEO of KWAP in 2013 and had stepped down in 2018, after serving as general manager at the treasury department of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).

Prior to serving the statutory funds, he was CEO of Affin Trust Management Sdn Bhd and Affin Fund Management Sdn Bhd, as well as Affin Moneybrokers Sdn Bhd.

At 3.50pm, MRCB shares were unchanged at 48.5 sen, giving a market capitalisation of RM2.14 billion.
