Bina Puri JV secures RM183mil construction job for Supreme Court building in Nepal

KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd's 20%-owned joint venture has been awarded a NRs5.2bil (RM183mil) contract to construct the Supreme Court building complex in Ramshahpath in Kathmandu, Nepal.

It said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the joint venture company, BinaPuri-Kalika-Samanantar, has awarded the contract by the Supreme Court of Nepal.

The contract commenced on April 1, 2021, for a duration of 36 months.

"The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the BPHB Group for the financial years ending 30 June 2021, 30 June 2022, 30 June 2023 and 30 June 2024," it said.

At 12.30pm, shares in Bina Puri were 0.5 sen or 5.26% lower at nine sen apiece on the back of 11.89 million units exchanging hands.
