DNeX appoints Azlan Zainal Abidin as group CEO IT & e-Services

KUALA LUMPUR (April 22): Information technology (IT) and trade facilitation services company Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) has appointed Azlan Zainal Abidin as its group chief executive officer for IT and e-Services, effective May 3, 2021.  

In a statement, the company said Azlan would be responsible for the overall operations of the group’s IT business segment, and instrumental in providing leadership and overseeing implementation of the group’s strategies.

It said Azlan has over 24 years’ working experience in various sectors including IT and telecommunications, and held several key positions at established corporations.

He was chief enterprise business officer at Celcom Axiata Bhd, country managing partner of IBM Global Services, managing director of Accenture Malaysia, general manager group IT at Malaysia Airport Holdings Bhd and vice president, IT transformation at Celcom Axiata Bhd.

"His appointment will be a valuable addition to the group’s management team, bringing new depth and experience to help drive its IT business in the years to come," said group managing director Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.
