KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): Furniture maker SHH Resources Holdings Bhd said it is implementing a seven-day stoppage at its subsidiary's manufacturing facilities in Muar, from today, after an employee tested positive for Covid-19.

In a bourse filing, the group said wholly-owned SHH Furniture Industries Sdn Bhd will be conducting deep sanitisation and disinfection works at the facilities.

SHH expects the development to delay the shipment of several sales orders to some of its customers, and is discussing with the affected customers for an extension of time to deliver the items.

"The company does not expect any material impact on its financial performance other than the costs incurred for the disinfection process, swab test and daily meal allowances to workers," it added.

SHH's share price closed unchanged at RM1.42, valuing the group at RM71 million. It saw 24,900 shares traded today.
