Amrin Awaluddin appointed group MD, CEO of Lembaga Tabung Haji

KUALA LUMPIR: Datuk Sri Amrin Awaluddin has been appointed the new group managing director and CEO of Lembaga Tabung Haji, effective May 6, 2021.

He will replace Datuk Nik Mohd Hasyudeen Yusoff, who will be stepping down as managing director, CEO and board member in the fund.

Amrin is currently the CEO of Lambaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT), and has more than 30 years of experience in the corporate sector.

According to a statement by Lembaga Tabung Haji, Amrin has held several senior positions in companies such as Renong Bhd, Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd and Putera Capital Bhd.

He also served as the CEO of Natseven TV Sdn Bhd (NTV7), Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Bhd, Media Prima Bhd, Sime Darby Property Bhd, Boustead Holdings Bhd and LTAT.

Lembaga Tabung Haji chairman Tan Sri Md Nor Yusof welcomed the appointment of Amrin and expressed his confidence that his vast experience will help bring TH to greater heights.

The pilgrims fund currently has about nine million depositors with a total fund of almost RM80bil.
