KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI ended in the positive territory on Wednesday on last-minute buying in selected index-linked counters.
The benchmark index closed 1.82 points, or 0.11% firmer at 1,608.5 points, reversing its earlier losses. It opened 0.16 of-a-point lower at 1,606.52.
Broader market sentiment continued to be weak, with 586 losers outpacing 457 gainers and 438 counters closed unchanged. Turnover was at 6.58 billion shares valued at RM3.85bil.
Dealers said overall market sentiment remained cautious and investors remained on the sidelines in this holiday-shortened week.
