KUALA LUMPUR (June 4): Pimpinan Ehsan Bhd (PEB) has recommended the appointment of Crowe Malaysia PLT as its new auditor in place of BDO PLT, which has resigned as its existing auditor as reflected in the annual report of the company issued on May 25.

PEB executive director Lim Beng Guan said the appointment of Crowe is subject to PEB shareholders’ approval at the forthcoming annual general meeting (AGM) to be held on June 24.

“The change in auditors is a natural process in line with the new board of directors and emergence of new controlling shareholders in February 2021,” he said in a statement, today.

BDO has signed off PEB’s latest financial statements for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020.

The company was issued an unqualified audit opinion with the financial statements being deemed as fairly and appropriately presented.

PEB is currently a cash company with no core business.

Moving forward, he said PEB is embarking into the renewable energy industry with the proposed acquisition of reNIKOLA Holdings Sdn Bhd.
