KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Eversafe Rubber Bhd were actively traded this morning with over 18 million shares done, making it the most active counter on Bursa Malaysia.
The tyre retreading company jumped 22.95%, or seven sen to 37.5 sen with 18.5 million shares done. It has risen some 33% so far this year.
The company has not made any corporate announcements recently. Its last announcement on Bursa Malaysia was made on May 25 on its quarterly financial results and the outcome of its annual general meeting.
In the first quarter ended March 31, 2021, Eversafe posted a net profit of RM2.22mil, up 24.9% from RM1.78mil in the same quarter a year ago.
