Harn Len buoyed by higher prices

The group’s revenue surged by 28.1% to RM35.5mil in the quarter driven by a significant improvement in the average selling prices of CPO and PK.

KUALA LUMPUR: Harn Len Corp Bhd’s net loss narrowed to RM5.2mil in the first quarter ended March 31, 2021 from RM9.2mil a year ago on the back of better average selling prices of crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel (PK) despite the lower CPO and PK sales volume.

The group’s revenue surged by 28.1% to RM35.5mil in the quarter driven by a significant improvement in the average selling prices of CPO and PK.

“We remain resilient in our business activities as we look towards increasing efficiency and cost rationalisation in light of these challenging times, ” Harn Len managing director Low Quek Kiong said in a statement.
