KUALA LUMPUR (July 9): Naim Holdings Bhd has announced an interim dividend of 7.9 sen per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021.

In a filing with the bourse, the company said its shares will trade ex-dividend on July 26, with the dividend to be payable on Aug 6.

The dividend payment amounts to RM40 million, marking the second consecutive year the group has announced dividends for its shareholders after the total RM47.64 million paid out in FY20.

Prior to FY20, the last time the group paid out dividends was in FY15.

The group posted a net loss of RM11.49 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021, a narrower loss versus the net loss of RM15.5 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter, attributed to lower loss from all business segments.

Quarterly revenue grew 22% to RM83.92 million from RM68.42 million, mainly contributed by higher sales from its property division.

Naim Holdings’ share price rose 0.5 sen or 0.7% to close at 73.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM377.64 million.
