KUALA LUMPUR (July 12): Nova Wellness Group Bhd said a subsidiary is temporarily ceasing operations for one week from today till July 18 after detecting several Covid-19 cases among its factory employees.

In a filing today, the nutrition and skincare products manufacturer said the temporary closure “is not expected to have a significant impact” on its financial performance, but may delay shipments to its customers during the one-week period.

The subsidiary affected is Nova Laboratories Sdn Bhd. The factory is expected to resume operations from July 19 pending further directive from the Ministry of Health, it added.

Shares of Nova Wellness fell 2.5 sen or 2.91% to close at 83.5 sen, valuing the group at RM265.32 million.
