Hong Leong Capital appoints Hong Leong Investment Bank CEO Lee Jim Leng as director

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 20): Hong Leong Capital Bhd has appointed Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd (HLIB) group managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) Lee Jim Leng as a non-independent and non-executive director.

Hong Leong Capital said in a Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday (Sept 17) that Lee, who was appointed Hong Leong Capital director on that day, has been HLIB group managing director/CEO since Nov 24, 2009. 

"Lee has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, specialising mainly in investment banking. Prior to joining HLIB, she was the managing director of a local investment bank where she was responsible for the overall development of the bank's investment business in Malaysia. 

"From 1999 to 2007, she was attached to a Singapore-based regional bank and was tasked to spearhead their investment banking division in Malaysia and the ASEAN region,” said Hong Leong Capital, which is diversified Hong Leong Group’s investment banking and stockbroking arm.
