The Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturers Industry (SEMI) said on Monday the billings figure is 5.4% lower than final July 2021 billings of US$3.86bil and 37.6% higher than August 2020 billings of US$2.65bil.

KUALA LUMPUR: North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers posted US$3.65bil in billings worldwide in August 2021, which was a three-month average basis.

The Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturers Industry (SEMI) said on Monday the billings figure is 5.4% lower than final July 2021 billings of US$3.86bil and 37.6% higher than August 2020 billings of US$2.65bil.

SEMI president and CEO Ajit Manocha said after an extraordinary eight-month run of record-breaking results, billings of North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers expectedly softened in August compared to July.
