Enfrasys Consulting emerges as second largest shareholder in Transocean

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 30): Enfrasys Consulting Sdn Bhd has emerged as the second largest shareholder of Transocean Holdings Bhd after acquiring a 30.72% stake  in the logistics group on Sept 28.

The largest shareholder of Transocean is Kumpulan Kenderaan Malaysia Bhd, which held a direct interest of 6.91% and an indirect interest of 25.72% as at Sept 13.

Transocean notified Bursa Malaysia of Enfrasys Consulting’s emergence as a substantial shareholder in a filing on Thursday.

According to the filing, the 20,000 shares representing the 30.72% stake in Transocean were “consideration shares on disposal of 40% equity interest in Enfrasys Solutions Sdn Bhd to Transocean”.

Transocean had bought a 40% stake in Enfrasys Solutions from Enfrasys Consulting for RM20 million in April with the purchase consideration to be settled via the issue of new shares.

Transocean shares were traded between RM3.86 and RM4.16 on Sept 28.

On Thursday, Transocean shares closed down four sen or 1.09% at RM3.64, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM237 million.
