Shares of Malaysia's ATA slump 30% after Dyson terminates relationship
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 25): Shares of Malaysia's ATA IMS Bhd tumbled 30% on Thursday after Reuters reported that Dyson has terminated its relationship with the electronics manufacturing firm over labour practices.
The British firm, famed for its high-tech vacuum cleaners, said its decision to terminate the relationship followed an audit of the Malaysian company's labour practices and allegations by a whistleblower. ATA makes parts for Dyson's vacuum cleaners and air purifiers.
