KPJ Healthcare names Suriaghandi Suppiah as COO
KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd has appointed Suriaghandi Suppiah as its new chief operating officer effective from today.
Suriaghandi takes over from Nik Zainon Yussoff, who is leaving to pursue other interests.
"Suriaghandi is a proven leader with over 24 years experience in various aspects of business operations and proven expertise in investments, energy, healthcare, asset management and property with an emphasis on strategy, business turnaround and expansion," KPJ Healthcare president and managing director Ahmad Shahizam Mohd Shariff said.
"This will benefit the company in our next phase of product and expansion, innovation and growth," he added.
Suriaghandi was formerly the company's chief transformation officer who led the company's ongoing transformation, including its digitalisation roadmap.
He has held numerous leadership roles before his time with KPJ Healthcare, including as the COO of Parkway Laboratory Services under the Parkway Group Healthcare and deputy general manager of hospital operations in Pantai Holdings Bhd.
His experience in Malaysia, the Asia Pacific, and Europe has seen Suriaghandi working with Khazanah National, Pantai Holdings Bhd, Parkway Group Healthcare Pte Ltd, Savills and Salcon Green Energy (UK), KPMG and Pulau Indah Ventures.
