KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 20): Notion VTec Bhd's factory in Klang has been affected by the flood due to the continuous heavy rain on Dec 18 and 19, 2021.

Over last weekend, floods wreaked havoc in the Klang Valley, especially in Selangor where the situation is described as unprecedented with many areas submerged in water, rendering major roads impassable and forcing many victims to be evacuated to relief centres

In a bourse filing Monday (Dec 20), Notion said the factory is for the production of gloves and computer numerical control machining under the automotive segment.

The company said it is unable to ascertain the full financial and operational impacts at this juncture due to current inaccessibility to the factory.

Nonetheless, it said all the assets are adequately covered by insurance.

“Sufficient insurance coverage has been taken for consequential business loss due to flood,” it said.

At 11.10am, Notion shed 1.43% or 0.5 sen to 34.5 sen, valuing it RM177.91 million.
