Former navy chief Ahmad Kamarulzaman appointed as Lagenda Properties' chairman

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 14): Former Royal Malaysian Navy chief Admiral (Rtd) Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin has been appointed as Lagenda Properties Bhd's non-executive chairman, effective Friday (Jan 14).

Ahmad Kamarulzaman, 63, is currently on the board of T7 Global Bhd, TRC Synergy Bhd and OCR Group Bhd, according to a bourse filing.

Lagenda Properties said he has vast strategic management experience and established governmental and corporate relationships, including international networking.

Last week, Lagenda Properties announced the resignation of Datuk Doh Tee Leong as its chairman, citing "to devote more time for his other work and commitments".

At Friday's midday break, Lagenda Properties shares were down by 2.26% or three sen to RM1.30.

At RM1.30, the company has a market capitalisation of RM1.07 billion.
