KUALA LUMPUR (March 30): Here is a brief look at some of the corporate announcements and news flow on Wednesday (March 30), involving RHB Bank Bhd, Pharmaniaga Bhd, Konsortium Transnasional Bhd, Damansara Holdings Bhd, T7 Global Bhd, PMB Technology Bhd and Mlabs Systems Bhd.

RHB Banking Group has appointed Mohd Rashid Mohamad as group managing director-cum-group CEO, effective April 1. Currently the managing director of group wholesale banking, he was appointed Officer-in-Charge and Principal Officer of RHB Banking Group on Jan 24. Mohd Rashid succeeds Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli, who left the group on March 25 to take over the CEO post at  Malayan Banking Bhd.

Pharmaniaga Bhd has proposed to distribute its products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via a health service provider there. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pharmaniaga Manufacturing Bhd, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Prime Medical Store LLC (PRIME) to grant the UAE firm the exclusive right to register, import, sell and distribute its products in the gulf nation.

Konsortium Transnasional Bhd (KTB) has secured a second construction contract from Probil Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, worth RM139.88 million this time. Previously, KTB won a contraction contract from Probil worth RM98.05 million on Feb 28.

Damansara Holdings Bhd has secured contracts worth a total of RM28.34 million to operate and maintain certain facilities at the Pengerang Integrated Complex in Johor. It said Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Corp and PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd have issued Letters of Award to its 70%-owned subsidiary, TMR LC Services Sdn Bhd, which is involved in building management, maintenance services and hospitality.

Integrated energy solution provider T7 Global Bhd has secured a contract from Petronas for the provision of third-party professional and support services. It said the contract spans a duration of three years from Dec 15, 2021 to Dec 14, 2024 and carries risk factors which include, among others, inadequate competent resources and non-compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

PMB Technology Bhd has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corp Sdn Bhd (SOGDC) for the potential sublease or sale of 200 acres of land at the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP) in Sabah and development of a new silicon metal production plant there. PMB said SOGDC — a company owned by the Sabah government  — owns and manages SOGIP, which is in the process of being developed into an industrial park dedicated for oil and gas activities.

Mlabs Systems Bhd said Messrs PKF has decided to resign as its auditors due to “disagreement in fixing audit fees”. It said it will identify and appoint new auditors to fill the vacancy.
