KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia rebounded on Tuesday on bargain hunting activities, while the ringgit climbed marginally against the US dollar.
At 5pm, the FBM KLCI closed up 6.7 points, or 0.42% to 1,596.68.
On the broader market, gainers thumped losers 506 to 393 while 455 counters unchanged. About 2.25 billion shares, valued at RM1.92bil, changed hands.
At 5.30pm, the ringgit was quoted at 4.3555 against the greenback, appreciating 0.03%. The local unit opened higher against the US dollar this morning.
