KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Cement Bhd
(MCB) has received a notice in writing from Messrs. Deloitte PLT to resign as auditors of the company.
“Deloitte’s term of office will end 21 days from May 5 or the date of appointment of new auditors for the Malayan Cement, whichever is earlier, pursuant to Section 281(2) of the Act,” MCB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Deloitte was appointed as the auditors of MCB at the last annual general meeting (AGM) of the Company held on Dec 7, 2021 and was to hold office until the conclusion of the next AGM of the company.
MCB has nominated Messrs. HLB Ler Lum Chew PLT (HLB LLC) as the new auditors.
