| Warrant holders will qualify for entitlement to AMMB Holdings Berhad's ("AMMB") Rights Issue if the warrant holders exercise their rights to subscribe for new shares in AMMB by lodging duly completed subscription forms together with the subscription monies with the Company's registrar, Malaysian Share Registration Services Sdn Bhd prior to 5.00 p.m. on 22 October 2003 in order for their new shares to be credited into their respective depositor's securities accounts prior to the Entitlement Date. However, warrant holders who do not exercise their subscription rights by 5.00 p.m. on 22 October 2003 and whose names appear in the warrant register on 5.00 p.m. on 6 November 2003 shall be entitled to an adjustment to the exercise price and number of warrants pursuant to the Deed Poll dated 29 November 2002 governing the said warrants in view that the Rights Issue will be undertaken together with a bonus issue of up to 631,101,892 new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each on the basis of one (1) new ordinary share of RM1.00 each for every two (2) existing ordinary shares of RM1.00 each held at the Entitlement Date. An information circular on the adjustment to the exercise price and number of warrants will be despatched to the warrant holders in due course. This announcement is dated 17 October 2003 |
