On 22 July 2022, the Board of Directors of CapitaLand Malaysia REIT Management Sdn. Bhd. (the "Board"), the manager of CapitaLand Malaysia Trust (formerly known as CapitaLand Malaysia Mall Trust) ("CLMT"), announced CLMT's second quarter results ended 30 June 2022 and approved the above First Income Distribution.
The Board had also determined that the CLMT's Distribution Reinvestment Plan ("DRP") shall be applied to the First Income Distribution where the gross electable portion will be the entire 1.95 sen per CLMT Unit (of which 1.92 sen per CLMT Unit is taxable and 0.03 sen per CLMT Unit is non-taxable in the hands of CLMT's Unitholders) of the First Income Distribution ("Electable Portion"). Please refer to the announcement dated 22 July 2022 for the details of the DRP.
Additionally, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") had vide its letter dated 19 August 2020, resolved to approve the waiver sought by CLMT from complying with Paragraph 9.19(2)(a)(ii) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities by providing an additional 5 market days from the required 1-month timeframe from the book closing date to pay CLMT's income distribution (in cash or new units) under its DRP.
