Remarks :

The new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each ("Bonus Shares") shall upon allotment and issue rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in issue save and except that the Bonus Shares shall not be entitled to any dividends (other than the interim tax-exempt dividend of 7.5% which was announced by the Board of Directors of Star on 27 July 2001), rights, allotments or other distributions for which the record date precedes the Entitlement Date. The "record date" means the date as at the close of business on which shareholders must be registered in the record of depositors maintained by the Malaysian Central Depository Sdn Bhd to participate in the distribution of dividends, rights, allotments or other distributions.
