| The Rights Issue involves a renounceable rights issue of up to RM79,548,165 of 3.75% 7-year Irredeemable Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock (“ICULS”) at 100% of its nominal value on the basis of RM1.00 nominal value of ICULS together with one (1) free detachable warrant for every two (2) existing ordinary shares of RM1.00 each held by the shareholder(s) of CCB whose name(s) appear in the Record of Depositors at 5.00 p.m. on 15 December 2008 (“Entitled Shareholders”). Entitled Shareholders who renounce all or any part of their entitlement to the ICULS provisionally allotted to them under the Rights Issue will simultaneously relinquish their corresponding entitlements to the ICULS including their corresponding entitlements to the Warrants. The Abridged Prospectus accompanying the Notice of Provisional Allotment and Rights Subscription Form will be sent to the Entitled Shareholders on 18 December 2008.
