SCOMI shareholders should take note that their ordinary shares of RM0.50 each in SCOMI as at 5.00 p.m. on 28 April 2004 (“Entitlement Date”) shall be credited as fully paid-up on the basis of three (3) new ordinary shares of RM0.50 each for every five (5) ordinary shares of RM0.50 each held in SCOMI. Based on the Record of Depositors on 31 March 2004 and assuming full exercise of all of SCOMI’s Employee Share Options Scheme options granted and available to be granted prior to the Entitlement Date, the Bonus Issue shall involve the issuance of up to 72,600,000 new ordinary shares of RM0.50 each in SCOMI to be credited as fully paid-up. The actual number of new ordinary shares of RM0.50 each in SCOMI to be issued pursuant to the Bonus Issue would depend on the issued and paid-up share capital of SCOMI on the Entitlement Date.
