Remarks :
With the adoption of Financial Reporting Standards ("FRS") 133 "Earnings Per Share", the basic earnings per share ("EPS") is computed after taking into account the ordinary shares that will be issued upon conversion of a mandatorily convertible instrument, as explained in note 1(d) of the quarterly report.

The basic EPS for the current quarter and current year-to-date before the adoption of FRS 133 would be 17.91 sen and 37.93 sen respectively.
