| The weighted average number of shares used in the calculation of basic earnings per ordinary shares for the quarter under review/financial year to date are 283,047,000 (2009/2010: 261,575,000) and 268,627,000 (2009/2010: 261,575,000) respectively. The increase in weighted average number of shares as compared with the preceding year's corresponding quarter/period was mainly due to the issue and allotment of new shares during the quarter under review (time-weighted) as consideration for the acquisition of the entire equity interest in Hume Industries (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This announcement is dated 29 April 2011. |
