Business development update on protective consumer goods segment

We refer to your Company’s announcement dated 7 August 2020, in respect of the aforesaid matter.
In this connection, kindly furnish Bursa Securities with the following additional information for public release:-

1) The date on which Texchem-Pack (M) Sdn Bhd (“Texchem-Pack”) commenced production of Tex-Shield.
2) To explain how Texchem-Pack is able to sell over 3.5 million pieces of face shields when the approval from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority was only obtained on 6 August 2020.
3) Whether any other regulatory approval is required for the production of Tex-Shield.
4) The date on which Texchem Malaysia Sdn Berhad (“Texchem Malaysia”) commenced production of TEXMa products.
5) Whether the production of TEXMa products requires approval from any relevant authorities. If yes, to state the names of the authorities and the dates on which such approvals were obtained.

6) The targeted markets for TEXMa products.
7) The total capital and investment outlay committed by Texchem Resources Berhad (“TRB”) group of companies (“Group”) for the production of Tex-Shield and TEXMa products, and the source(s) of funding.
8) The prospects of the Group’s venture into the protective consumer goods segment.
9) A statement by the board of directors stating whether the Group’s venture into the protective consumer goods segment is in the best interests of the Group. Where a director disagrees with such statement, a statement by the said director setting out the reasons and the factors taken into consideration in forming that opinion.
